Diversification, Innovation & Development

Diversification is an important part of STARGATE EBCG’s long-term strategy. In addition to its activities in mining and commodity trading, the Group continues to develop initiatives in Health and Wellness, infrastructure and economic development, and biotechnology.

One example of this diversification is STARGATE’s involvement in BIOTECH, including the development of MOKA-19. These initiatives reflect the Group’s broader commitment to exploring innovative solutions and developing projects capable of addressing emerging economic, industrial, health, and community needs.

Infrastructure & Energy Development in the DRC

STARGATE EBCG is also pursuing major infrastructure and energy opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) through strategic collaboration with international partners.

On September 1, 2026, representatives of STARGATE and BESIX met with H.E. Aimé Sakombi Molendo, Minister of Water Resources and Electricity, as part of discussions concerning investment opportunities within the DRC’s hydroelectric sector.

Among the projects discussed was the proposed Portes de l’Enfer Hydroelectric Power Plant in Kongolo, Tanganyika Province. The project has a projected generating capacity of approximately 132 MW, with feasibility studies available and potential demand identified, including demand from the industrial sector.

The proposed development represents the type of transformational initiative STARGATE EBCG seeks to advance: bringing together government, investors, technical expertise, international partners, and development opportunities to help unlock the DRC’s significant economic and natural-resource potential.

Through projects such as this, STARGATE EBCG aims to support efforts to increase electricity generation, improve access to reliable energy, facilitate industrial development, attract investment, create employment opportunities, and strengthen local communities.
